Colton didn't expect such viciousness from Evelyn. He looked at the angry old man without saying one word the whole time.

Seeing how Colton didn't refute him, Benedict sighed and closed his eyes to think.

"Evelyn has been taken to the hospital," he muttered. "It was Gabriel who called me just now. Her condition is stable now, but she has been crying. Since you have done something wrong to her, let's settle this with marriage."

"I will do no such thing," Colton coolly replied, as though Evelyn's theatrics didn't mean anything to him.

Angered, Benedict looked up at Colton. He was about to speak when he coughed violently as soon as he opened his mouth.

Benjamin saw how flushed his father was from coughing, so he quickly stood up and comforted Benedict. "That's enough, Dad. You know how stubborn Colton is. He doesn't mean any harm. Please calm down."
