Chapter 907

Colton squinted his long eyes as he continuously gazed upon Nicole's body.

Pressured by his stare, she turned away slightly, trying to avoid meeting his eyes.

Then, he let out a chuckle and asked, "Nicole, you once said you love me. Have you forgotten about that?" As he spoke in a sleazy tone, his hand was already touching Nicole's lips. With his fingers, he gently rubbed her succulent lips, which felt nice to the touch.

As such, Nicole felt a trigger in her brain. Subconsciously, she wanted to take a couple of steps backward, only to realize she was up against a wall and had no way to retreat. "I…" As she was about to speak, Colton pressed his finger right into her mouth.

Widening her eyes, she was about to bite him, but Colton's menacing voice stopped her.

"Nicole, if you dare bite me, I wouldn't mind ripping your jaw off."

Nicole was stunned speechless. When did Colton become this overbearing? She shot him a glare before shoving his arm away, saying, "President Gardner, I have no obligations to marry you. Besides, it's best that we keep things amiable between us."

Despite her cruel words, Colton wasn't angered. He straightened his back and muttered, "Oh, Nicole. You're so selfish."

With that, she furrowed her brows and turned to him in confusion.

Revealing a grin, he continued, "Hayden's a big boy now. Don't you think he needs a father figure? Besides, about the marriage, if you don't agree to it, the Wrenns would be mocked. By then, be it business or politics, you will become a joke to society."

Nicole's body stiffened. She got to know a little about the Wrenns, but she didn't give it as much thought as Colton did. Indeed, the matter between the Wrenns and the Gardners caused a major commotion. In order to cancel the engagement, they would have to come up with a fitting excuse, which would be Evelyn's drugging incident. As such, the Gardners would become the victims while the Wrenns would be labeled as perpetrators.

At a loss for words, Nicole pursed her lips.

Thereupon, Colton let out another chuckle and lowered his head. In that instant, they were directly facing each other as their gazes intertwined and tethered. "Nicole, you know I love you. Whether it is for the sake of the Wrenns or our son, don't be so quick to refuse, will you?"

And so, Nicole felt somewhat perturbed and began to hesitate. The Wrenns… Although she was Jackson's biological daughter, it had only been a few days since the revelation, so she felt no attachment to the Wrenns. Thinking that she was emotionless, she decided not to burden herself with the matter, but whenever she saw her son's desperate gaze at Colton, she couldn't help but hesitate.
