Evelyn forced an awkward grin and responded, "Alright, I understand."

After she left, the crowd downstairs remained silent. Siobhan's idea was precisely what Colton wanted, and the only reason it took him so long to bring up the matter was to catch the Wrenns off guard.

At that moment, Siobhan turned to Nicole and shamefully asked, "Nicole, I am sure you and Colton share some feelings, and you only broke up with him in the past because of William. Now that you are my biological daughter, you are no longer related to the Andersons. Besides, you already have a child with Colton."

Nicole remained wordless, thinking that she shouldn't have joined in on the drama. Earlier on, Hayden saw Colton from afar and insisted on coming to see him, so she could only comply and follow after him, only to bump into such an incident. After a moment of silence, Nicole raised her head. "Other than that absurd night we shared, there is no attachment between me and President Gardner. I'm sorry."

Upon Nicole's rejection, a layer of coldness engulfed Colton's pitch-black eyes.

Benjamin sensed the tension and went straight to the point. "In that case, the marriage shall be canceled. We will disclose the truth to the public, or it would be harsh on my son if he were to be labeled as someone heartless."

Jackson furrowed his brows and waved his hand. "I reckon the matter could be negotiated." If such a matter were to get out, it would be a fatal blow to both the Wrenns and the Goulds.
