Chapter 914

There were quite a lot of people standing outside, which caused Nicole to feel a little shy. She lowered her voice and whispered to Colton, "Put me down. I can walk on my own."

However, Colton didn't let her down but held her even closer while smiling. Then, he slowly spoke beside her ear. "Darling, you look stunning today."

Nicole blushed bright red from Colton's words and glared at him. She gritted through her teeth, saying, "I'm not your darling!"

While looking at the bashful woman in his arms, Colton was in a good mood. Although this was just a show for the public, he would someday find a chance to turn things from fake into reality.

Just as the two were whispering to each other, a kid came running toward them from afar. When the kid arrived, he saw Colton hugging Nicole in his arms and exclaiming happily. "Aww, Dad, you're hugging Mom."

Nicole looked down and saw that Hayden was also wearing a black suit but one tailored to a boy. The suit seemed to fit Hayden's body just right and almost identical to Colton's.

Coupled with Hayden looking sixty percent like Colton, he looked like a miniature Colton from far away.

"Come on. Let's head inside together." A trace of gentleness appeared in Colton's eyes when he looked at his son's appearance.

At that moment, Nicole pushed against Colton's chest and warned him, "Put me down, now!"

Noticing that she seemed displeased, Colton didn't insist on carrying her inside. Instead, he chuckled and let her go, finally placing her on the ground.

Nicole tidied up the hem of her gown. Since it was a wedding gown, it had a long train that was trailing behind her. The good news was that they only had to appear before the masses for a while before she could change out of this gown.

Admittedly, the wedding gown was beautiful but wearing it was inconvenient as it was restrictive to her walking.

After letting go of Nicole, Colton bent over and picked up Hayden while complaining in a pitiful voice, "Your mom doesn't want me to carry her, so I can only carry you."

Hayden acted like a small grownup and patted his small, plump hand on Colton's back while comforting him seriously, "It's all right, Dad. You can carry me."

Meanwhile, Nicole watched them with a speechless look. The sight of the two of them together was quite surprising, not to mention that they wore matching suits. It was like looking at the same person but in different sizes, which made the sight quite cute.

Nicole relaxed her frown and said nothing. Instead, she picked up her dress and walked inside.

Colton picked up his pace behind her. There were quite a few guests gathered at the scene. After all, the Gardners and Wrenns were about to be connected through marriage, which was a big deal. Therefore, almost every known person in the business industry came to this ceremony.

They couldn't afford to lose such a great opportunity to flatter those two families.
