Chapter 917

However, Sasha couldn't hear a single word Alvin said, as if she was possessed.

She fisted her hands while viciously announcing, "So what if I have to sacrifice the entire Undercity? The only person I have ever wanted is him!"

Looking at how berserk Sasha was, Alvin didn't say anything to stop her. He smiled while concurring gently, "Sure. Just make sure to protect yourself."

After saying that, Alvin felt his throat suddenly begin itching, and his face instantly turned pale. He covered his lips and bent over to the side before coughing violently.

Sasha noticed his condition and hurried over to check on him. Her tone sounded a little concerned as she asked, "Are you all right?"

Alvin coughed a few times before his ashen face turned pink again. It took him quite a while to recover. He slowly shook his head while assuring her, "I'm fine. Don't worry about me."

Seeing Alvin in this state made Sasha cool down quite a bit. She didn't seem as vicious as before and seemed a little concerned.

She observed Alvin's tall and lean figure and noticed that even though he was tall, he was also very thin. His body weight seemed even lower than hers, and he looked like he was only made up of skin and bones.

A trace of worry flashed across her eyes as she looked at Alvin's slightly sunken cheeks. She couldn't help but suggest, "You should head back to the hotel and rest. I shouldn't have let you come with me."

Noticing the concerned look on Sasha's face, he couldn't hold back his smile. He forcefully suppressed his urge to cough and apologized, "My bad."

Sasha frowned. "That's not what I meant. You're not in good health, so I'm worried you might not be able to stand coming with me on such a long journey. I won't be doing anything today, so you can rest assured and head back to rest."

Alvin used to have a healthy body, but at some point in time, seemingly after he began following Sasha, his health began to deteriorate. Even after visiting the hospital, the doctors couldn't find anything wrong with him and only said he needed to replenish his health.

Sasha couldn't do anything to help besides watching him become frailer and thinner by the day.

"I'll head back to rest. Call me if anything comes up." After saying that with a smile, Alvin dragged his feet, slowly leaving.

When he got to a place where Sasha could no longer see him, he stopped suppressing his coughs. He bent over with one hand bracing the wall and began coughing violently as though he was about to cough out his entire stomach.

He had a painful expression and coughed out a puddle of blood between his fit of violent coughs.

With his back against the wall, he panted slightly, wondering how much longer he had to live. Judging by his sickly body, he guessed he might not make it past one year.

However, he was worried about Sasha. He worried she wouldn't have anyone to count on after he passed away.

Looking down, Alvin forced himself up to his feet. His expression had returned to calmness.
