Evelyn looked down. After pondering for a moment, she began, "All right. I get it. I won't let that b*stard child Nicole carries have the chance to survive."

She knew from the servants that Hayden suddenly caught a fever and had been in a daze since yesterday afternoon. The moment Siobhan learned that he fell sick, she summoned the family doctor to treat him.

At first, the doctor thought it was a common cold, so Hayden only took some medicine after the checkup. However, his fever did not come down even after the medication. Therefore, Siobhan brought Hayden to the hospital.

However, it happened in the day. The servants were busy attending to their tasks and none encountered anything unusual.

Noticing the tired look on Nicole's face, Colton cupped her face with a smile. His fingers gently circled her temples as he gave her a massage.

Nicole gladly accepted his kind gesture. Closing her eyes, she enjoyed the feeling of Colton's fingers massaging her temples.

"You can go back to your work." Colton dismissed the servants in a low tone.

She had a hard time pinning it down. The culprit is cautious and made a perfect plan. I can't believe they didn't leave any traces behind. After that, she bit her lower lip as she reviewed the servants' testimony in her mind. A familiar and clear voice startled her from her thoughts. "Collie, what are you doing here?"

Nicole opened her eyes slightly, only to see Evelyn standing at the door. There was a big suitcase next to her.

A smile remained on Evelyn's face as she steadied the suitcase. Even though she was met by the sight of Nicole leaning in Colton's embrace, she didn't throw a fit like usual. A chuckle escaped her before she continued, "What a surprise to see both of you at my house. I didn't expect to see that many servants gathering together when I came home. What happened? Is something wrong?"
