Chapter 1744

"If you can't do it, I'll show you how."

When Andre got home, the first thing he saw was his little son, broom in hand, kicking scraps of paper toward the trash can with his tiny feet. The table was still covered in shredded paper. Andre glanced over at his son, who was clearly in the middle of a punishment. "Let me guess-it's him again?"

Mia supervised from the sidelines. "Who else could it be?"

"Daddy..." Henry's voice was small and full of wounded hope.

Andre dropped onto the sofa, but before he could relax, Mia called out, "Honey, get up. There's more of your son's masterpieces in the couch cushions."

Andre stood and reached between the cushions-sure enough, out came another handful of confetti.

He took a breath, looking at his son, who wasn't even as tall as the broom he was hugging.

Henry clung to the broom, his chubby cheek pressed against the handle, lips curled in a perfect pout.

"So, what happened?" Andre asked.

Mia jumped in, "He found the shredder in your study and decided the confetti in the trash was just like flower petals. So he crawled up to the second-floor railing and tossed them all over the living room. The housekeeper tried to stop him, but he wouldn't listen, so she came to get me. When I came out, he tried to run away, but I caught him and gave him a couple of swats."
