She approached the door and hesitated for a few moments, then she swung the door open, but there was no one outside. She then looked at the bed, and Rosie was still there, sleeping soundly.

Elias and Amanda went back into the room and looked at the sleeping Rosie. Sounds of footsteps came from outside, causing panic to flash in Amanda’s eyes. She then looked at Elias. “Hide in the garden. I’ll be there in a bit.”

Elias nodded and darted out the window, disappearing in a flash.

The bedroom door creaked open, and Amanda looked at it nervously. Taylor came in, and Amanda reflexively looked out the window to notice that Elias was gone.
