Chapter 84
Penelope attempted to speak but was interrupted by Christopher “We’ll discuss this later. Now, let’s enjoy the meal”
She was a bit miffed, biting her lip, but for the sake of keeping her cool, she swallowed her resentment.
She looked up and saw Lucian looking elsewhere. His gaze was on Allison, who was walking out of the kitchen, seemingly making her exit through the back door.
She felt a pang of frustration and clenched her fists tightly
Allison…
Even in her plain clothes and a mask covering half her face, she still managed to catch Lucian’s attention.
She decided she wasn’t going to let Allison off that easily!
Penelope gave Margo a silent nod

Noticing her cue, Margo nodded back and quickly headed towards the kitchen…..
Meanwhile, Allison had just finished the tasks Margo assigned to her. She planned to leave while the Lindbergs were eating to avoid another encounter with Lucian.

Penelope, with reddened eyes and a face full of anxiety and sorrow, asked, “I still had the ring this morning. How could it be gone all of a sudden?” She looked at Lucian, her eyes flickering. “Lucian, I’m sorry…
Lucian squinted his eyes slightly but said nothing.
Cora quickly comforted, “You’re pregnant now, don’t get too worked up.”
She gently patted Penelope’s hand, “If you still had it this morning, it might be somewhere around the house. Let’s see who was in charge of cleaning the room and if they found it.”
Lean glared at Margo, “Who was in charge of cleaning Ms. Flanagan’s room this morning?”
Margo replied, “Madam, I’ve already called the person who cleaned Ms. Flanagan’s room this morning.”
Christopher looked at Lean a bit displeased. This was a family matter, why make it so public? Especially with Carter present, it was like making a spectacle of themselves.
When Allison arrived, besides her and Linda, Wendy, who was responsible for cleaning the upstairs bedrooms, was also there
