MISTAKE 191

Chapter 191: Reuniting.

Anya sat nervously beside her mother Stella's hospital bed. Just hours ago, Stella had suddenly regained consciousness after being in a coma for a long time. It was a miracle, but also an extremely emotional moment, as their long-lost sister Emma had rushed into the room, tears streaming down her face.

"Mom? Is that really you?" Emma said, her voice trembling. Stella looked up at her, eyes wide

with disbelief and relief.

"Emma..." Stella breathed, reaching out a shaky band. In an instant, mother and daughter embraced, overcome with emotion. Anya watched, a bittersweet smile on her face. Their family was finally reunited after so many years.

When they finally pulled apart, Emma looked confused. "What happened? Anya told me you were... dead," she said, her brow furrowed.

Anya stepped forward and placed a gentle hand on Emma's arm. "There's a lot to explain, Emma. Please, sit down," she said. Emma nodded and perched on the edge of the bed as Anya began to recount the events.

"When you disappeared all those years ago, it devastated Mom. She never gave up hope of finding you. Then, Dad went missing too, trying to track you down," Anya explained.

• Emma's eyes widened in horror. "So you thought I was gone, and Mom was dead?" She turned to Stella, anguish on her face. "I'm so sorry, Mom. If I'd known, I would have come back, I promise!" Stella pulled Emma into another tight embrace, comforting her. "Shh, my darling. None of this was your fault. You've been through so much..." she said softly, rocking her gently as Emma's shoulders shook with sobs.

Anya watched the heartbreaking reunion, feeling a mix of relief and sorrow. Their family!! endured so much pain and loss, but now they were finally together again.

Suddenly, Anya's phone buzzed in her pocket. Excusing herself, she stepped out into the hallway to take the call. "Hello?"
