A remote town... A man alone with a woman... Anything could happen...

Every keyword that Yvonne mentioned left much to the imagination, and that got Allie thinking that some precautionary measures might be in order.

No reasonable man, no matter how accomplished, could escape the charms of a beautiful woman. That has been the case since antiquity.

Whether Avery could be considered a beauty was debatable, but she certainly was to Allie's son, and right now, the former had her son under a spell and knee-deep in the muck.

Having been young once herself, Allie knew well the affairs of the heart. It did not take much for one's emotions to take the reins.

The more Allie thought of it, the more flustered she grew as she raised her hand to continue rapping at the door.

As she knocked away, it went from tapping to a pounding with the mounting of her fury.

“Do not hide from me since you're in there, Avery!”

The setup of the rental facilities was simple, so much so that the rooms lacked soundproofing structurally. If one spoke too loudly on the outside, everyone inside would be able to hear everything clearly. This was especially the case on a quiet morning like the one they were having.

“Did my mother look you up previously?” Cayden was able to tell as much from the timing of his mother's visit, the relentlessness of her knocking, and the aggressive tone she used to shout at Avery through the door.

While he traced his way down his woman's pale nape with his lips, leaving a trail of passion in his wake, he was sifting through his own memories.

As far as he could remember, his mother and Avery were not well acquainted, having only met two or three times prior.

Inferring from his mother's tone outside the doors, however, he realized she had made contact with Avery before and had reached a point where she felt that a basic degree of civility was no longer necessary.

His mother was probably calling on Avery to demand an explanation of why the latter had gone on to marry Dylan when she had agreed to be with her own son. Or at least, that was what Cayden thought.

He supposed that that must stem from an inability of a mother-in-law to understand her own future daughter-in-law.

“I, uh... should go and get the door...” Avery tried to get up, but her slight frame was promptly and strongly sucked into the man's embrace by his massive hands. Their bodies became melded together, slick with sweat from both of them.

“You should go to answer the door at this time only if you mean to torment me...”

Cayden's irresistibly husky voice, filled with allure, burrowed itself into the woman's ears he had made especially sensitive today.

As she was struggling a little with Cayden's weight that was bearing down on her, Allie's voice sounded again. “I'm sure you don't want everyone in the neighborhood to know about this, yes? Come on out, then! We have to resolve this, one way or another!”

While Allie was trying to compel Avery to go out using threats, Avery's face was flushed from cheek to cheek; there was not one inch of fair skin on her that was not burning up.

Listening to what Allie was saying outside got Avery unnerved. She thought about it and said to him, “Y-You've heard her yourself... L-Let me... Ah...”

Cayden lowered his head. The sight of the hips she was jutting out at him, time and again, only made his eyes burn.

Tussling in a bid to speak to the man behind her face to face, she heard a familiar shuffling sound and realized that the man behind her was undoing his own belt.

His pants were kicked off in short order, and that was when she caught sight of that monstrous thing.

Cayden was seemingly straining at the seams and did not look likely to let go of the woman in his grasp even if there was an earthquake taking place beyond the confines of their room.

“Whatever that is about, you can talk things through the phone. There's nothing in it for you to keep holding back from me.” With that, the man went on to plow the woman's jerky body inside that cramped rental apartment.

Avery knew that there was to be no escape for her that day.

However, she could not ignore Allie's incessant shrieking outside either, for the neighbors could surely hear the latter. Having undergone the hassle of moving once, she did not wish to have to relocate a second time because of more gossipmongering.

It was simply too tiring to have to keep moving time and again.

Freeing up her two hands by slowly relinquishing her own hold on the pillow, she reached out for her phone. And as soon as she powered it up, a barrage of messages came flooding in.

She had not the time to go through them. Instead, she made a priority of pulling up Allie's number and hastily dialing it.

Outside, Allie picked up the call very quickly.

“Finally switched on your phone, huh? Have you decided to talk over the phone and not meet me in person? I know that you're in there, Avery, and don't tell me that you think that these things are better suited to be openly discussed in these corridors of yours? Even if you don't care about your reputation, I'm still conscious about mine!” Allie rattled off a string of commentary on her own without waiting for her counterpart to speak up.

Having ridden her fortunes on her son since marrying into the Moore family all these years ago, she had never felt more aggrieved than she was at this very moment.

How could she possibly put up with having to wait outside and beg for someone her junior to open the door for her?

Straining to hold her ear to the phone, Avery struggled for the words to say.

What was she to do? Surely she could not tell Allie that her son was in heat early in the morning and was currently having her pinned down on the bed and was forcing himself on her.

As she missed the optimum window for talking, Avery's vocal cords were no longer subjected to her control. It was changing in tandem with the sensations in her body.

“Ah... So smooth...” A suppressed yelp escaped from Cayden's throat.

The man's rough hands reached down to the lower part of her body. With the back of his hand against the sheets beneath her, his palm slid over the skin on her abdomen.

While clutching the phone, Avery was unable to muster up a word. With her forehead held taut against the pillow, her eyes were closed, and every pore on her body had opened up.

“Did you not hear me, Avery Rumpley?” asked Allie through the phone.
