“Mdm. Wright, my mom says my sister died the moment she was born. It must be true. Think about it. Who would dare to lie to my parents?” Nicole said sorrowfully.

Silvia figured she was right.

Although William had not been as powerful as he currently was back in the day, he was still someone with great potential in the world of politics. In fact, he had made a name for himself in the political arena, and no one would dare to lie to or play tricks on him.

Yet, for some reason, Silvia kept feeling uneasy.

“Don't worry, Mdm. Wright. The heavens always help people who deserve it. If my sister's alive, I'm sure I'll find her one day. Since she's my adoptive mother's biological daughter, she's my biological sister, too. I'll send people to locate her,” Nicole assured in a mature manner.

“You're a great child, Nickie. Your mother's lucky to have adopted you back then. You're such a caring child.” Tears welled up in Silvia's eyes. She had always loved how smart and rational Nicole was.

“Oh, you're flattering me. It's only a daughter's most basic responsibility to share her mother's burden. I'm willing to do anything as long as I can make my mother happy,” Nicole said casually.

She managed to make Silvia chuckle happily thanks to her sweet-talking skills.

Silvia could not stop admiring Claire for being so lucky to have such a caring daughter.

Right then, a host appeared on the LED television on the wall, reporting a piece of news. “According to the reports, the mother of Cayden Moore's twins, also known as the children of Trident Group's CEO, was revealed to be an unknown employee. Based on the report, Mr. Moore and the twins' mother, whose surname is Rumpley, had been in love for ten years. Though they were deeply in love, they separated for some time due to some misunderstanding. And now, they have reunited. Avery's face was blurred on the television, so all the viewers could see was her long black hair and delicate face shape. Even the children's faces were blurred as well. Regardless, the sight of the family of four cuddling together made Nicole's eyes sore.

Suddenly, the coffee cup fell from her hand. The exquisite cup shattered as it landed on the ground. Even so, she still watched the news on the screen in a daze.

Suddenly, Nicole stood up. “If there's nothing else, Mdm. Wright, I'll get going first. I'm feeling a little unwell. I'll come visit you another day.”

Silvia knew full well Nicole was a celebrity and usually had many jobs.
