Maria saw Avery the moment she came in.

Holding on to Dylan's arm tightly, she snorted. “Gosh, why does this woman keep showing up everywhere? Just my luck!”

Last time, not only did Maria fail to frame Avery in the luxury store, she ended up losing a diamond ring worth millions. To add insult to injury, Maria was scolded when she returned home, and her elder brother deducted more than a month of her pocket money.

The thought of that incident irritated Maria to no end.

At the same time, Avery naturally did not have a good impression of Maria, who was spoilt and unruly.

When Avery was about to leave the place with the two children and Cayden, Zachary suddenly looked up and blinked innocently. His eyes sparkled with clarity.

He gently tugged at Avery's clothes and uttered in his childish voice, ”Mommy, I've seen this lady before.”

Avery stared at Zachary with a puzzled look on her face. How did this little guy know Maria?

Curious, Avery inquired, “Zach, where have you seen her before?”

Maria was also dumbfounded as she stared at the adorable Zachary.

Alas, no matter how hard she racked her brain, she could not think of where she had come across such a good-looking young boy.

Zachary replied sweetly, “Mommy, have you forgotten? This lady looks exactly like the evil witch from the movie. Great-grandpa said the witch is a cruel and vindictive person!”

Then, he turned his gaze to Maria. “Miss, you really resemble that evil witch. But I guess that's fine since your family won't have to waste money on going to the cinema to see the witch.”

At his snarky remark, the onlookers burst out laughing. How could this adorable child possess such a serpent's tongue?

Realization dawned upon Avery at that moment. Ah! Zach must be talking about the Evil Queen from Snow White.

Although Maria was not a stunning woman, she did not look bad either. She was certainly nowhere near the hideous-looking evil witch.

Zach has quite a sharp tongue, hasn't he? He was rather merciless with his insult just now. Did he take after Cayden's personality?

Avery cast a glance at Cayden. As if he knew what was on her mind, he shrugged innocently, indicating that he had nothing to do with it.

In Cayden's opinion, he did not have a sharp tongue despite his poor personality. Zachary's gene probably mutated on its own.

Even if Maria was a slow-witted person, she came to her senses rather quickly this time. With her face flushing red with fury, she pointed at Zachary. ”You little uncultured brat! Who taught you to speak like that? Are you asking for a beating?”

Getting riled up, Maria seemed to have forgotten about Cayden's identity. She went forward wanting to teach Zachary a lesson but was held back by Dylan forcefully.

This d*mned woman is so unruly! She has no idea how terrifying Cayden is! If she dares to lay a finger on his son today, I'm sure the Reid family will make the news tomorrow because of bankruptcy. The Musk family might be dragged into this mess too.

Cayden stared at Maria with his chilling gaze, exuding a powerful murderous aura.

Felicia, who was in charge of the entertainment center, rushed to the side. She witnessed the commotion before she could even greet Cayden.

This woman is asking for it! How dare she insult Mr. Moore's son in public like a rabid dog!

Despite the tense atmosphere, Maria pointed at Avery as a vicious expression crept over her face. ”Dylan, stop pulling me back! This woman stole my diamond ring. Give it back to me!” she fumed.

“Miss, please leave if you're not in your right mind. Not only did you insult my guest, but you also slandered her for stealing your ring. Do you have any proof to back up your claim that this lady stole your possession?” Felicia asked sternly, narrowing her eyes menacingly.

“Who the h*ll are you? You'd better mind your own business! This has nothing to do with you!” Even though Maria was intimidated by the bone-chilling aura emanating out of Cayden, her rationale had gone out of the window.

Despite being warned not to mess with Cayden last time by her elder brother and Dylan, Maria had always been a spoiled brat who had no respect for anyone.

When Maria was abroad, everything was smooth sailing for her. She continued to behave in an unrestrained manner when she returned home. Therefore, it was no wonder that she did not remember their warnings.

Dylan grabbed Maria by the collar and warned her again, “Maria, stop embarrassing me! Are you trying to land yourself in trouble?”

Maria thought the reason why Dylan did not help her was because of his lingering feeling for Avery.

Suppressed by Dylan, she could not move at all.

Maria saw a glint of amusement flickering across Avery's eyes. Her temper flared as she saw the latter's playful and contemptuous smile and Dylan's longing gaze on his ex-wife.

No wonder Dylan is so heartless toward me. This is all this woman's fault!

That realization felt like a sharp sword piercing through Maria's heart.
