Avery did not leave immediately after passing a pregnancy test kit to Cecelia. Instead, she waited outside anxiously because she couldn't leave Cecelia alone when the latter looked so vulnerable.

After a few minutes, Cecelia opened the door to the restroom.

Her hand trembled while holding the pregnancy test kit. She said nothing, but the color was evidently drained from her face.

Avery wasn't the most dazzling woman, but there was something very special about her. Just like the meaning of her name, she was pure and innocent. She was like a ripe juicy peach that looked tempting to people.

Xavier, too, noticed Avery walking toward them.

After greeting her, Xavier said, “Ms. Rumpley, Mr. Moore won't be able to drive today because he drank a little at dinner while socializing. Something cropped up, and I am unable to drive the two of you back. Can you drive yourselves home, Ms. Rumpley? Or how about I call Leif and ask him to pick you guys up?”

Cayden passed the car keys to Avery without hesitation. “It's fine. Let Ery drive.”
