Avery gawked at Cayden.

She originally thought Aaron's accident was purely a coincidence. Never did she imagine the accident to be planned and caused by someone.

Most importantly, she never expected the man who looked decent and polite on the outside could be so merciless when handling matters on his own.

Originally, Avery wanted to rely on Cayden's social network and powers to have Aaron punished by the law. That was all she wanted. Never in her wildest dreams did she imagine Cayden to be so savage by plotting an accident for Aaron.

She could not help but find it incredulous as she recalled how calm Cayden looked while chatting with Xander.

Aaron was Xander's biological brother. Yet, Cayden did not behave any differently in front of Xander as if nothing had happened. Avery could not help but be impressed by Cayden's mental strength.

If I were him, I would've spilled the beans the second I met Xander's penetrating gaze.

Licking her lips, she asked worriedly, “Aaron and Xander are brothers. Will you and Xander fall out with each other if one day he finds out you're the one behind his brother's accident?”

Upon hearing that, Cayden glanced at her lips, and a gleam of emotion flashed through his eyes.

He gave her a peck and smiled as he watched her turn red in the face. “Don't worry. I never leave obvious evidence around. Xander might not be someone worth trifling with, but I never do something I'm not confident about.”

Still, Avery furrowed her brows with worry. “But you...”

At that, Cayden raised his brow and scrutinized her silently.

Noting his calm expression, Avery chuckled. “All right. Of course, I trust you. Just don't do dangerous things like this in the future. This... is actually illegal. We can't solve violence with violence. The law will naturally punish people who do evil deeds.”

The worry in her eyes was so clear that it sent a warm feeling swirling in Cayden's heart.

Without saying anything, he hugged her tighter.

Cayden felt Avery was too naive. To most people, the law was the fairest thing in the world. However, there were a few people in the world who were above the law, and those people were rich or influential. Aaron, for example, was a combination of both entities.

Even if he were punished according to the law, he would be released back into society as if nothing happened. All the Gibson family needed to do was pull a few strings.

Thus, the best way to punish people like them was to treat violence with violence.

Regardless, Cayden did not think it was necessary to tell Avery that. As long as she could live a happy and worry-free life under his protection, he would gladly shoulder all her suffering for the rest of his life.

Meanwhile, the butler opened Aaron's room door for Xander and Yuvan. To their surprise, Aaron's furious voice could be heard as soon as the door was opened. “Get lost! Get lost, all of you! You're a group of useless trash! I've been here for so long, yet there's no improvement. I really want to kill all of you!”

Immediately after that, a glass came flying over and almost smashed into Xander's nose.

If not for the quick reflexes that allowed him to catch it swiftly, his nose would be bleeding.

Xander's face clouded over as he made his way to Aaron's bed.

Standing in the room were a few doctors in white coats. They were all specialists from Ackleton who were experienced in andrology.

At that moment, Aaron was aiming a black gun at their heads. They were so frightened that their foreheads were covered in beads of sweat. Even their hands around the medical kit were trembling.

When they saw Xander entering the room with the genius of the medical industry, Yuvan, the doctors secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Thanks to his superb medical skills, Yuvan was famous not only in Ackleton but also all over the world. There was no one in the medical industry who did not know who Yuvan was.

He was unpredictable and had an odd personality. In fact, some rich and powerful families could not hire him to treat their family members despite offering him a handsome sum of money. Meanwhile, he would treat poor families suffering from severe illnesses without asking for anything in return if he was in a good mood.

With an unruly demeanor, he mocked nonchalantly, “Wow. Ackleton's famous andrology specialists are gathered here. What's up? Is everyone having a meeting in Mr. Aaron's room? What's wrong, Mr. Aaron? Are your family jewels not functioning?”

The specialists, who almost collapsed from fear, dared not speak up.

After all, Aaron was holding a real gun. It was not a joke. They did not have Yuvan's guts to mock the former.
