For a few seconds, Thalassa doubted she'd actually heard him say those words, but her disbelief quickly morphed into bitterness.

"You want me to hold a press conference and clear your mother's name?" she repeated, her tone laced with incredulity, waiting to see if he'd dare confirm it.
