Chapter 529 Acting Like A Bolster

“Lysander.” Josiah inquired, “Will Nieva agree if I proposed to become the godfather of her baby?”

Lysander replied, “I don’t know what kind of relationship you have with Ms. Lionhart.”

“We don’t meet each other often, but we’ve been aware of each other’s existence since childhood. Our relationship is quite decent.

“Then why not wait for Ms. Lionhart to return and ask her?” Lysander suggested, “However, while the biological father’s presence or absence may seem inconsequential, it’s unalterable in terms of blood relation and legalese.”

Josiah resignedly said, “I know.”

“Or are you saying you want to be Aurora’s stepdad?”

Josiah immediately furrowed his brows in retort, “What are you talking about?”

The musical wind chimes were still cheerfully playing nursery rhymes.

After listening carefully for a while, Lysander finally realized why Aurora was saying “Daddy,” or at least an approximation of it.

The wind chime had been softly singing, “Daddy’s dad is called Grandpa, Daddy’s mom is called. Grandma…”

Josiah had also heard it, though his complexion still held á hint of confusion.

Aurora was still learning how to pronounce the word, and she was getting better at it. “Daddy… Daddy…”

That time, it was no longer ambiguous. She was very clearly saying “Daddy.”

Josiah leaned over, gently tapping her soft little face with his finger, and lightly chuckled. “Perhaps you should call ‘Mommy first. Because your biological father might not be too thrilled if he heard you calling him Daddy.”

Lysander let out a long sigh.

divorce Nieva.

Regardless of the circumstances, it was inevitable that Aurora’s childhood would be marked by the absence of a father’s love.

It seemed as though Josiah had also considered that point. He softly said, “Your initial worries were justified.”

Lysander remained silent.
