This was a man who could drop everything for Dahlia and her daughter.

Evelyn's lips curled into a cold smile as she anticipated the day Charles would finally see the true colors of the woman and daughter he cherished so much.

Evelyn stretched and headed back into the bathroom. Ten minutes later, she emerged, fresh and wrapped in a towel. She grabbed some clothes from the dryer, changed, and went downstairs to grab a drink of water.

After finishing her water, Evelyn didn't feel sleepy at all. Since she didn't have any melatonin to help her sleep, she decided to check out the gym instead.

As she walked down the long corridor and turned the corner, she spotted a familiar figure standing nearby. It was Carmen engrossed in a phone call with her back turned.

Carmen had watched Charles drive off earlier, and the tension in her expression had finally eased. "Well, you've got some talent. I'll give you that! Dahlia, I dropped fifty million just to get you that top spot and a smooth entry into Carlisle Jewels. I've laid the path for you. Don't let me down!"
