When Evelyn woke up, she asked Rosa to help her look into that incident. Rosa reassured her that she had already done the digging. Evelyn's number was used to contact the mysterious man, but her account had been hacked that day, and she had a solid alibi to prove it, clearing her name. Tony had also investigated Dahlia but came up empty-handed. There were no records of any transactions between Dahlia and the suspect. They didn't know each other, and Dahlia had never met him privately. If Rosa couldn't find anything, it probably meant there was nothing to find.

In other words, the evidence Tony had gathered could only prove to Charles that Evelyn wasn't the one behind the incident. But it wasn't enough to show him Dahlia's true nature and that she had orchestrated the whole thing. Evelyn decided to pass on Rosa's suggestion to confront Charles and demand an apology. Charles' apology was worthless to Evelyn. The damage was already done. What good would his apology do?

It was clear that Evelyn didn't hold a place in Charles' heart. Even if she proved the account wasn't hers, he might still doubt her. After all, he believed that if it wasn't Evelyn, who else could it be?

Rosa noticed Evelyn's reluctance and assumed she was too in love with Charles to hold a grudge. She asked, "Eve, are you really going to let this slide?"

Evelyn responded with firm resolve, "No way! How could I let Dahlia dodge responsibility after framing me?"
