The Silent 200

Chapter 200

Chapter 200

Once Nolan departed. Eliza returned to her pocket farm.

This time, though, she didn't go to see Sophie.

The exchange was set to happen in three days. And before then, there was much to prepare-especially when it came to dealing with Nomus

While Mary could likely handle his poisons, the man also controlled venomous snakes If they weren't careful, those snakes could put them at a severe disadvantage.

After all, even if one wasn't afraid, being bitten by a deadly viper was no sinall matter.

So Eliza headed straight to the second floor of the pocket farm.

It no longer housed only toxic herbs-there were now poisonous creatures as well. Fire ants. Toads. Spiders. But her eyes slid past them. finally landing on the scorpions nestled in a corner.

Over a dozen of them. Small for now, but vicious. Of the Five Venoms, scorpions were the most feared-not just for their toxins, but their innate ferocity.

If she had to pick one kind of creature to counter Nonus's snakes, it would be these.

They were still too small, and their venom not yet potent enough. But Eliza had three days-and in a place as rich in spiritual energy as her pocket farm, three days were more than enough. She would feed them poison. Bathe them in spirit water. And she would raise a Scorpion King or two.

Mary came looking for her, but Tina handled it-offering excuses and turning visitors away.

And so, the days slipped by

On the morning of the third day, Eliza emerged.

She packed everything she needed and stepped out of her courtyard.

Mary was already there, waiting at the gate. "You're ready?" she asked.

Eliza gave a nod. "I am. Let's go❞
