Percy mustered the courage and shouted, “No, that's impossible! Ali and the others won't die so easily!”

“Impossible, you say? No one has ever entered Demon Wolf territory and made it out alive! I thought we would have to return empty-handed, but you two delivered yourselves to us on a silver platter!” said the leader of the group while the other guys surrounded Jared and Percy.

The young boy grabbed onto the hem of Jared's shirt in fear. Clearly, the two of them were at a huge disadvantage going against dozens of people.

“Just so you guys know, you brought this upon yourselves...” Murderous intent swirled in Jared's ice-cold gaze as he tightened his grip on his sword.

Percy knew that quivering in fear was pointless, so he raised his bow and prepared himself for a fight as well.

The man leading the group snorted in disdain when he saw the look in Jared's eyes. “Still trying to resist, huh? If you two surrender, we might just spare your lives. If you two choose to fight back, then we will kill you both right here and now!”
