"Yeah, we're on the brink of divorce," Nancy whispered hurriedly, her voice barely above a murmur. The clerk paused, "The process to terminate your status has started. You'll need to come in a week to submit your application. Will that work for you?"

Without hesitation, Nancy firmly replied, "Yes, I'll be there."
