Nancy suddenly snapped her eyes open, dodging the kiss from the man looming over her with a swift turn of her head. The kiss landed at the corner of her mouth instead.

Disgust filled Nancy's heart as she pushed at Cyrus' shoulders. "Don't touch me!"

Cyrus looked at her with pitiful eyes. "Nancy, you're my wife. If I can't touch you, who can I touch? You even agreed to have a baby with me. How are we supposed to make that happen without touching?" Nancy's gaze was cold, devoid of warmth as she looked at Cyrus.

Usually, Cyrus would have picked up on Nancy's disapproval and distaste. But then, all he felt was an overwhelming heat, even a kind of wrongful desire stirring within him.

"Nancy, we've known each other for so long and have been married for a year. Just let me," Cyrus pleaded, his eyes red, "Don't be scared. I'll be gentle."

Saying so, Cyrus lost control and lunged forward. But Nancy swiftly got off the bed, causing Cyrus to miss and fall flat.
