Gilbert tried to keep his cool, "Are you coming down yourself, or should I come up and feed you?"

The tone in his voice was clearly one of anger.

Sherilyn's sleepiness faded almost completely as she sat up, clutching her phone, "I'll eat. I'm getting up now."

"Don't try to fool me. Whether you eat or not, Fidelia will let me know."

With that, the call ended.

Feeling scolded through the phone, Sherilyn sighed, put her phone down, and wrapped herself in a shawl before heading downstairs.

In the dining room, Fidelia had lunch ready.

"Ms. Gomez, you're in a special condition, so if there's anything particular you'd like to eat, just let me know."

Fidelia's smile was warm, "Mr. Johnson mentioned you're expecting, and asked if I'd be willing to stay on as a live-in. Naturally, I agreed."

With a generous salary, only two employers in the house, and despite Mr. Johnson being somewhat hard to please, as long as she took good care of Mrs. Johnson, there wouldn't be any problems. Such a good job was hard to come by.

"Ms. Gomez, feel free to let me know if you need anything."
