Whispers Turn to Whimpers: Could He Ever Change?

Gilbert got into a bit of a scrape.

Just half an hour ago, as he was leaving the executive office of Johnson Group and heading towards his car in the underground parking lot, someone suddenly charged at him. The attacker was wielding a machete, not uttering a single word before swinging it at him!

Luckily, the injury wasn't severe.

Sitting in the car on their way to the hospital, Sherilyn clasped her hands together, her lips barely parted, her face stoic.

But beneath the calm exterior, her eyes were swirling with thoughts - perhaps this was her chance...

Upon arriving at the hospital, Caroline also showed up, and the two of them stepped into the emergency room together.

"Over there..." Abel led the way ahead of them.

Sherilyn didn't need Abel's guidance; she had already spotted him.

The curtain around the bed was drawn back, and Gilbert emerged, looking relatively unharmed except for his left arm, which was raised and wrapped in a bandage. Just like Abel had said, the injury was indeed minor.

Both women called out at the same time, and Gilbert looked up when he heard their voices.
