Karol, ever the chatterbox, couldn't contain herself. "Did you hear? Caroline suddenly vanished off the face of the earth, and the managers over at Nexus Media Group are losing their minds. They were grooming her to be the next big thing...Sherilyn, this could be our

shot!"

Sherilyn's silence deepened, her brow furrowing even more.

So, Nexus Media Group is investing on the fly? What in the world is Gilbert up to?

Across the room, Gilbert's gaze cut through the crowd, landing squarely on Sherilyn. She looked better today, probably because Jenna hadn't given her a hard time last night.

Caleb called out to Gilbert, "Mr. Johnson, would you like to take a seat...?"

"No, thanks." Gilbert waved him off with a smile, "I'm just a bystander here, wouldn't want to meddle."

Glancing at his watch, he said, "It's getting late, and you all have been working hard. I've ordered some afternoon tea for everyone, take a break."

Charles, understanding the cue, went to open the door. A line of delivery folks had already arrived, carrying boxes inside.
