For the days that followed, Darius ignored me as if I was invisible and I was super grateful for that. Anytime we met at the door or on the staircase, he’d brush his shoulder against mine, act as if I wasn’t there. “Good morning.” I murmured to no one in particular as I walked into the kitchen.
