Chapter 11 When Will We

Get Married

The following day…

Corynn and Erick went to the office together. Because Erick had informed his employees in advance, the company was bustling from excitement, curious to see who would be their new vice president.

“Corynn, this is your office,” Erick announced with a flourish as he swung the door open.

Corynn walked in, finding herself in a sleek, modern space that exuded a clean and efficient vibe. There was even a lush green plant sitting on the desk, which added a touch of life to the room.

“Dad, I love it!”

“Good!” Erick beamed at her. “Good luck on your first day! I have a lot of faith in you.”

Corynn quickly got to work. That very morning, she attended a board meeting with Erick wherein they decided to gradually turn over some responsibilities to her, allowing her to get familiar with things before taking over fully.

When Corynn returned to her office, she found a bouquet of roses sitting conspicuously on her desk.

She asked around and found out that a delivery man had dropped them off, but no one knew who had sent them.

Piqued by curiosity, she fished out the card nestled among the roses, her eyes narrowing at the familiar handwriting.
