Summary:

Celeste Rodriguez flies to Andostan on her birthday, hoping to reunite with her husband, Trevor Fleming, and their daughter, Jordyn, after months apart. From the moment she arrives at the family villa late at night, though, she is met with indifference. Trevor is absent; Jordyn is distant and absorbed in crafting gifts for her friend Wynn, barely acknowledging her mother’s presence or even remembering Celeste’s birthday.

Over the next two days, Celeste’s attempts to reconnect are repeatedly rebuffed. Trevor cancels their planned birthday lunch, using work as an excuse, and instead spends time with Jordyn and Wynn—Wynn being the woman he clearly prefers. At her wits’ end, Celeste returns to the villa, calmly drafts a divorce agreement, and arranges for it to be delivered to Trevor.
