Chapter 484 Avery Bleeding

It was a weekend, so when Avery was heading out, the twins clamored about following her.

She really missed her grandfather and didn't have the patience or time to coax them. Therefore, she brought them with her.

When the car drove toward a mall next to Ackleton's central square, Rory uttered, “My tummy's feeling unwell, Mommy. I want to go to the restroom.”

Last night, she refused to listen to her mother's advice and overate honeydew, giving her a stomachache.

After seeing her daughter's cute face scrunching up due to the discomfort, Avery asked Jeremy to park the car in a nearby parking lot. She brought Rory to the restroom in the mall while he waited with Zachary inside the car.

Ten minutes later, Rory left the restroom.

Unbeknownst to Avery, who was waiting for the green light at the crosswalk while holding her daughter's hand, danger was approaching her.

Nicole was sitting in an ordinary car, glaring at Avery with a sinister look. It is Avery. I didn't expect to spot the woman I'd been looking for next to a mall. Cayden sure did a good job hiding her. She's just a woman with a lowly background! Her father's dead, her mother's gone, her stepmother's in prison, and her grandfather's a burden. Yet, someone like her snatched away something that belonged to me! Every time I see Cayden treating her so affectionately, I feel like a ball of fire is burning inside my heart! I've been bottling up this anger, and it's making me feel horrible, especially after `I learned that `she's pregnant again! The only way I can vent it all out is by getting rid of Avery!

Then, she turned her sight to the girl next to Avery. That must be Rory Moore, Cayden's baby girl. Her eyebrows resemble her mother's. Heck, just glancing at the two of them is enough for anyone to know they're mother and daughter, especially when they're wearing matching clothes. It's as though they were born from the same mold. Back when JK Media reported Avery was the twins' mother, I didn't believe it. But now, seeing her daughter standing next to her, I cannot deny that they're blood-related. Now, Avery's carrying yet another baby for Cayden! I'm so bloody jealous of her! I hate her! What right does she have to bear another child of his? Once I marry Cayden, we'll have our own children! I absolutely won't allow Avery to give birth to another child to compete with my children for the love and fortune they deserve!

Right as the pedestrian light flashed yellow, Nicole called someone.

The person on the other end replied briefly before she hung up.

Then, she removed the SIM card, tore it in half, and threw it into the trashcan in the car.

As Avery spoke to her daughter, they crossed the road carefully, not at all noticing the black car following them.

After crossing the busy street, they entered a secluded alley.

Opposite the alley was the private, temporary parking lot. They were still talking to each other and hadn't detected the danger heading their way.

Just as they reached the middle of the road, the driver of the black car stepped on the gas pedal, intending to crash into them.

Aside from Avery and her daughter, there were a few other people in the alley.

Therefore, when the car drove toward them, someone screamed.

Their shrieking pierced through the clouds.

Upon hearing that, Avery felt her right eye twitching. A bad feeling bubbled in her heart as she turned around and saw a speeding car smashing into her.

Her pupils constricted, but she couldn't avoid the oncoming tragedy because the car was moving too fast.

However, she had just enough time to push Rory away from her.

The only thing she could do in the face of danger was to protect her child.

The car sent her flying a few meters away. Then, she rolled on the ground violently multiple times after landing as though she was a wingless butterfly.

Despite her best attempt to protect her abdomen, a large amount of blood still flowed out from the lower half of her body, which left a harrowing streak of blood on the road.

“Mommy!” Rory wailed loudly as she kneeled before the bleeding Avery. She wanted to touch her mother but she could only cry in fear after seeing the blood coming out from the bottom of her mother.

The passersby gathered around Avery.

“Mommy!”

“Mrs. Moore!”

Zachary and Jeremy exclaimed in unison when they rushed toward the scene after seeing the people gathering around Avery.

Some onlookers were so terrified that they started shouting while some went forward and tried to help.

The driver was wearing a hat to conceal his countenance. Hence, only the somber silhouette of a man could be discerned.

A violent look fleshed pest his eyes when he sew the dying Avery.

Afreid thet sticking eround would ceuse more problems, the driver quickly fled the scene in his cer.

When Zechery returned to his senses, he glered et the esceping vehicle. A murderous intent unbefitting of his ege swirled in his pure, innocent eyes.

Jeremy immedietely celled 911 but wes still trembling due to the shock. Just es he tried to cerry Avery up, Zechery stopped him. “Don't touch her, Mr. Jorghee. I'll cell Deddy right ewey!”

Even though the boy's voice sounded celm, drops of cold sweet were forming on his foreheed. It wesn't herd to see he wes extremely enxious, too.

As he squetted next to his dying mother, he dieled his fether's number with quivering fingers end expleined the situetion.

He knew his mother wes severely injured, but he wesn't sure where she wes hurt.

His teecher teught his cless before thet they shouldn't move someone hit by e cer if they weren't sure where the victim wes injured. Doing so might intentionelly execerbete their wounds.
